Meet Pastor Arthur & Violet Benjamin

Pastor Arthur Benjamin and his wife, Violet, are the founders of 242 Church San Diego, a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled church devoted to helping people know Jesus, grow in His Word, experience His presence, and live on mission. Together, they share a deep passion to see lives transformed by the gospel and to build a healthy church where people encounter God, experience authentic community, and become devoted disciples of Jesus Christ.

With more than two decades of pastoral ministry, Pastor Arthur has faithfully served as a pastor, teacher, conference speaker, and ministry leader. Before planting 242 Church, he served as Senior Pastor of Love of Christ Fellowship Church for fourteen years and previously ministered at The Rock Church in San Diego and Shiloh Church. His ministry has taken him around the world, equipping pastors and church leaders in countries including the Philippines, Brazil, Uganda, Belize, and Mexico.

Pastor Arthur is known for his passionate, Bible-centered preaching that is both practical and led by the Holy Spirit. His heart is to see people move beyond simply attending church to becoming fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. In addition to leading 242 Church, he serves as the Chief Business Affairs Officer of Pacific Theological Seminary, where he helps advance the mission of equipping men and women for gospel ministry.

Violet Benjamin is passionate about helping women deepen their relationship with Christ through prayer, discipleship, and authentic biblical community. She has a heart for creating environments where women experience healing, encouragement, and spiritual growth.

Beyond the local church, Violet has served in leadership with The Honor Summit, a ministry dedicated to equipping and empowering Asian women to walk confidently in their God-ordained careers and callings. Her love for God, his church, and commitment to helping others flourish make her an invaluable leader within the church and beyond.

Together, Arthur and Violet believe the local church should be a house of prayer, a place of healing, and a community where people are equipped to know Jesus, grow in their faith, discover their purpose, and impact the world for His glory. Their leadership is grounded in a commitment to the authority of Scripture, the power of the Holy Spirit, intentional discipleship, and the mission of making disciples who make disciples.

Arthur and Violet are grateful to serve the people of San Diego alongside their daughter, Psalm Olivia, and count it a privilege to witness God building a church that is devoted to His Word, His presence, His people, and His mission.

“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”Acts 2:42
